One of the largest arboreal species, and certainly not for beginners, this species is very fast and can be aggressive if provoked, but will mostly run and hide. Give them the normal arboreal set up, with a tall enclosure, 2" of substrate and a piece of cork bark to climb and web on. As spiderlings they will feed well and grow fast. Like all species of Poecilotheria, these are believed to have a very serious bite, so exercise caution when feeding, re-housing or during tank maintenance. Unlike most of the other arboreal species, P. regalis will not overly web up the enclosure except when it molts.
