Probably the most recognized tarantula in the world. There were more imported from Mexico in the 1970’s than ceramic ashtrays. They are now a protected species as are all Mexican Brachypelmas. Good thing that they are firmly entrenched in the hobby and have been captive bred for many years. Adults are always in high demand. Keep them on the usual dry substrate with a water dish. And, as usual, keep small slings moist, even desert species will quickly desiccate when very small.
